'54 Firetruck Restored For Station No. 4 by Pete DeLea
HARRISONBURG - In 1979, Harrisonburg resident Bucky Berry watched as Jess' Lunch on South Main Street in Harrisonburg was destroyed by fire.
Berry, who was 16 years old at the time, watched with amazement.
Now, Berry and a group of others in the city are donating money and time to restore the 1954 American LaFrance ladder truck used to fight that blaze, which also claimed the life of a Bridgewater volunteer firefighter.
