HARRISONBURG - City Council voted Tuesday to seek federal funds administered by the state to help pay for the second phase of its downtown improvement program called Streetscape.
The city is applying for $701,848, or 80 percent of the project's estimated $877,310 cost. The city's share is $175,462.
The improvements, including new sidewalks, will be made from Bruce to Elizabeth streets on the west side of South Main Street...
