Parts of Skyline Drive in Shenandoah National Park will be closed at night during the state's hunting season to prevent illegal hunting within the park, a sanctuary for wildlife.
From Nov. 9 to Jan. 2, Skyline Drive between Front Royal and Thornton Gap, east of Luray, and between Swift Run Gap and Rockfish Gap, near Afton Mountain, will be closed daily from 5 p.m. to 8 a.m., according to a press release.
