HARRISONBURG - A gang member who prosecutors say was among a group trying to expand a notorious Newport News gang into Harrisonburg will spend more than a decade in prison, a judge ruled Monday.
Ronald LaShawn Brown, 21, of Newport News, was sentenced to 58 years in prison with all but 13 years suspended, in connection to a 2007 shooting in the city.
